Revitalize & Rejuvenate Your Eyes

With age and sun exposure, your skin can change, and you may notice fine lines, wrinkles, or discoloration around your eyes. The modern technology we use at Central Eyes Optometry not only treats dry eye symptoms but can also rejuvenate the skin near your eyes.

There’s no anesthesia, incisions, or downtime involved. Your eyes are delicate, so we use small-size applicators during your procedure. Additionally, our treatments are good for patients of all skin types and skin tones.

What Should I Expect?

After discussing your eye and skin concerns, we’ll suggest procedures based on your unique needs. Your eyes and the skin around them are delicate, so multiple sessions may be needed to achieve desired results without causing harm.

Most patients experience little to no side effects. If you experience a skin reaction, it generally resolves within a few hours.

Our Technology

We have several different technologies that can be used separately or in combination with one another to treat your dry eye symptoms. They also can reinvigorate your skin, especially if you’re experiencing rosacea, fine lines, wrinkles, and discoloration.

Forma-I

Forma-I uses bipolar radiofrequency, which generates heat. This heat is applied to the skin around the eyes, helping to unblock clogged meibomian glands. Radiofrequency is generally followed by meibomian gland expression to remove the now-melted oil from the glands. This treatment helps treat a common cause of dry eye, meibomian gland dysfunction.

The heat generated from radiofrequency can also stimulate collagen production and blood circulation around your eyes. This can reduce the look of fine lines, wrinkles, and dark spots while also reducing inflammation. The procedure is gentle and feels like a warm massage in the eye area.

Lumecca-I

Lumecca-I is an intense pulsed light (IPL) treatment that reduces inflammation in your eye area. This procedure is used to treat meibomian gland dysfunction and inflammatory dry eye. It can also reduce Demodex mites, bacteria, and debris around the eyelids and lashes that can cause irritation.

We use IPL to treat rosacea, hyperpigmentation, and superficial skin lesions. During your treatment, you’ll experience flashes of light and a sensation on your skin that feels like a light snap from an elastic band. Redness is a normal side effect and usually subsides within an hour.
